Oh please believe I said, there's something underneath my bed.

So. I just discovered VV Brown's tune "Shark in the Water." I also discovered her cool sense of style. I love her hair, although I have to say I'm not sure I could pull off the full version of her bangs. I have been attempting a sort of half version of them, and I have to say I kind of like that look. It's very much a take on pin up girl style. That's cool with me!

An outfit inspired by VVBrown.

Bohemian Rhapsody

So. Here is one of my fashion inspirations. I love Zoe Kravitz's style. Now if only I had the long bohemian locks to match. I guess the next best thing is a style to match. via:

Here's something I think Zoe would love. I love it too of course! LANATIVE makes such cool stuff.

  More "inspired by Zoe" style.

Hammers are falling. I said my darling.

So. This is possibly the funniest youtube video I've seen in a long time. This girl is hilarious. I love people that use satire as a form of humor. I think Lauren could fit in very easily on 30 Rock or The Office. She strikes me as someone who would take everything off of Dwight's desk and put it in The Office vending machine, along with Dwight's wallet. If you liked this video as much as I did, there are more videos here . Check em' out. You won't regret it (unless you like Twilight)! Then you might regret it just a tad. Now off to lab report/research paper/ policy paper/ study central. I'll meet you on the other side. I'll meet you in the light!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

It's Friday I'm In Love.

Photo 123 (crop)

So. Today is a beautiful day! I am so glad that the weather is nice. The past few days have been chilly (in the 30's) dark and rainy. Today's weather pattern is such a relief. I got a package in the mail (my new floral print velour body con dress from Etsy), so I decided to try out the dress because the weather was cooperating OH SO NICELY. YAY! Hooray for the sunshine. I love dresses. I'm so glad I bought this one.In this picture I've tucked the dress into a great pair of slouchy black shorts. I got these from Calypso St. Barth for $19.99. They are so comfy and one of the few pairs of shorts I do not have to wear a belt with. I made the black bow headband myself. The headband was inspired by a similar headband made by Jennifer Ouellette.

What I wore:
Black Bow Headband- DIY (inspired by Jennifer Ouellette)
Floral Body Con Dress (worn as blouse)- Vintage
Black Shorts- Calypso St. Barth

Just because I'm losing doesn't mean I'm lost.

Hello Thursday! Nice to meet you. I can't believe that it will soon be my last weekend on campus for a LONG LONG TIME. This year has gone by so quickly. I just can't believe that my time here is almost up (at least for a little while). I am glad to be going home, but I've just beginning to realize all the things that I will miss in Lil' cow town. One of those such things is my high speed wireless internet connection in my dorm room. "High speed low speed" internet in one set location is just not the same. I will also miss the ability to walk everywhere and my view of The Purple Valley. The best part of leaving though is coming back when the purple valley is actually purple. YAY!

I love this outfit. It's girly and OH SO CUTE. Hehe. Now if I only had a money tree (or several) in my backyard. *SIGH*.

WORDS OF WISDOM: "The clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." -Mark Twain (via lateafternoon). I love you Mark Twain! You are hilarious.

I am reachin' from the depths of my soul... hear me pleadin'.

Photo 117

So. Apparently I will not be getting much work done today. I have no motivation. So, I sit here listening to Paper Tongues. I am "reaching from the depths of my soul" and what do I find there? Lots of cool stuff to be sure, but nothing that could turn into a problem set, research paper, or policy paper. Sigh. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. I guess it's a good thing I hate cake.

What I wore:
Cropped Leather Jacket- Vintage from France
Purple Batik Shirt- Vintage (via a successful raid of my mother's closet)
Black Bow Headband- DIY (inspired by Jennifer Ouellette)

Hey, hey, hey come right away. Come join the party everyday.

Life in Technicolor

So. I keep seeing this image everywhere. (This one is from Justin Timberlake's blog ). I just think this picture is awesome. I love adding light to a place with christmas lights/ strings of light bulbs. Strings of lights always look so fun and add such cool ambience. I have a string of them in my dorm room. Mine are starfish shaped. They make me think of the ocean even when there is snow on the ground or it's dark dreary rainy and miserable (the latter is today's case).

Welcome to the Jungle.

So. I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that I will soon be a Williams College sophomore. Ridiculous! Ludicrous! Unfathomable! Really though, the fact that I have spent a whole year in college (and that the year is rapidly coming to an end) is hard for me to process. There have been a few ups and downs, but for the most part, I really love it here in the Purple Valley.

Here is one of my first polyvore attempts. I really love this outfit. My style has been steadily becoming more rebellious. I love black (nails, sunglasses, clothes, WHATEVER), leather, and studs (and any combination thereof) for some reason. I don't think my rocker style really matches my too nice personality, but a little dichotomy never hurt anyone (I hope). I've also been developing a rocker vocabulary (that I will have to tone down A LOT) once I go back home. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of slip ups.

SHEESH. The idea of going home seems weird to me. However, I am not complaining about it. I really miss my family (yes you mommy and daddy) and the food. THE FOOD. I never realized how spoiled I was in the food department until going off to college. Williams food is not too bad, but I've been craving a home cooked meal for weeks. I really REALLY want to do some cooking. AND i really want baked macaroni and cheese made with extra sharp cheddar and with italian bread crumbs sprinkled on top. YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM. I will be making some when I get home. Probably the second I get home. Oh, and I want some fresh squeezed lemonade, fresh peaches, and steamed broccoli. Now I'm just making myself hungry. *SIGH* Too more weeks until I become an ultimate glutton. I look forward to every minute of it.

Check me out now (check me out baby)
