I needed a bit of relaxing, or at least slow music this week. I hope you enjoy it! P.S. Somehow I forgot all about Tracy Chapman. My musical repertoire is now a little more complete (again).

Goodbye, farewell my friend, no more sailin'.
This just in... There is warm weather on the horizon... and I might be going to the Bahamas, or somewhere else that is tropical and has a nice sandy beach. In other news, I volunteered today raking leaves at Head Start and made some cool new friends. I found someone else who wants to be a playwright. SCORE.
Here's an outfit inspired by my warm weather forecast related jubilation (don't forget the sunscreen!):

Hello new followers! I'm glad you're here. In other news, I've been trying to add at least one new segment to the blog. So far, the front runner seems to be a "Midweek Music" segment. I listening to music and discovering bands, which should be evident if you look at my post titles, so I figured I'd pass that love on to you my readers in the form of a Mixpod Playlist or a cool band I think you should check out (or... wait for it... BOTH). Tune in for this segment every Wednesday.
So fresh and so clean,
Laura

Five days underwater...
If you haven't heard anything by Young the Giant, go listen to their debut album "Young the Giant" NOW. I have conveniently provided a couple Youtube links, so you have no excuse not to listen to them. Not a one!
This band is phenomenal. I've had their song "Islands" stuck in my head for quite some time. I also love the songs: "Apartment", "12 Fingers", "St. Walker", "I Got" and "Strings" (basically of them). I have a feeling that these guys will go far in the music world, but in the unlikely event that they remain under the radar, I will still love them.
